First of all they CANNOT take your SSD - NOR can they THREATEN To take it either! What they are doing is ILLEGAL. I don't care if they are from the VA or Timbuktu - you have rights. The next time they try that crap take their name, number and any other info you can get and call the state atty general and blow them in. You are protected BY LAW not only as a VET, but also as a citizen, and you are covered by the Social Security Act, the Fair debt collection practice act (FDCPA) and Mental Health laws.
